CapEx Courier: Surplus Battery Equipment
Opportunity in times of market volatility

Hi Everyone!
I’m grateful to have you as part of our Movers & Makers community - thank you for showing up and making these conversations matter.
I’m excited to share our first Diagon CapEx Courier newsletter, where we share relevant news and equipment insights for next generation products. While our primary focus is on the battery industry, we will also share insights on aerospace, automotive (autonomous & electric), semiconductors, and other high tech products.
We started Diagon to serve as a marketplace for manufacturing equipment. We currently list over $50m worth of equipment from world-class battery equipment makers.
Surplus Battery Equipment

As battery manufacturers in China and South Korea ramped up to meet increasing demand for EVs and Energy Storage Systems (ESS), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) built billions of dollars (USD) worth of equipment. As demand in those regions has slowed, there is still several hundreds of millions of dollars (est. $500m+) worth of surplus equipment that is yet to be delivered to customers (cancelled and postponed projects).
Diagon is in a unique position to help new customers identify and purchase this equipment at very low prices and very short lead times. Each week, we’ll feature a different manufacturer and highlight the interesting machines they produce.
PNT is an equipment manufacturer that produces battery electrode production equipment, including coaters, calendering presses, slitters, and notching machines.
